Tilting Wafer Check Valve
Tilting Wafer Check Valve
- Design Basis: API 6D
- Structure Length: API 6D; ASME B16.10
- Connection Size: ASME B16.5; ASME B16.47
- Test and inspection: API 598
Usage:
Oil Refining and chemical plant; Mechanical paper making and power plant;
Metal smelting and pharmaceutical factories;Environmental protection and sewage systems;
Water supply and heating system; Natural gas transmission pipeline
Structural Features:
- Slamming of check valves is the result of failure of the valve disc to reach its closed position before the fluid flow reversal. Tilting disc check valves can close quickly is due to the disc operating distance is very short, so can quickly reach the seat position, thus minimizing the Slamming.
- Tilting disc check valves are designed to prevent reverse flow of fluid in horizontal or vertical pipelines, and they are available only for medium flow upward in vertical lines, or at any angle of inclination from horizontal to vertical.
- Tilting disc check valves operates automatically. It opens under the pressure of fluid velocity and closes under the action of gravity. Seat seal load and tightness are associated with back pressure, and if flow pressure is insufficient to support the valve in an open, stable position, the disc and other moving parts will continue to vibrate.
